General Osteopathy
We specialise in treating musculoskeletal issues, including joint pain, back pain, and postural problems, using a hands-on approach with a variety of techniques. Osteopathy is effective for patients of all ages and is based on the principle that the body has a natural ability to heal itself. This self-healing mechanism can be impacted by physical or emotional trauma. Osteopathic treatment aims to restore the body’s self-healing ability.
Cranial Osteopathy
We employ a highly developed sense of touch, using gentle and precise techniques to treat the ligaments, joints, fascia, and muscles. This approach allows us to provide effective care across all age groups, addressing a wide range of conditions while ensuring comfort and safety for every patient.
Dry Chinese Cupping
Cupping is an ancient practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, involving the application of heated glass cups to the skin. As the air inside the cups cools, a vacuum effect is created, producing suction that holds the cups in place. This negative pressure alters the pressure on surrounding tissues, including nerves, capillaries, and muscle fascia.
The cups can be glided across the skin, providing a unique sensation akin to massage but with different effects. Cupping enhances blood flow to targeted areas and promotes the circulation. Cupping can help alleviate pain, reduce swelling, increase range of motion, and accelerate the healing process. While it may leave temporary bruise-like markings on the skin, these typically fade within a few days to 10 days and are not painful. Cupping can be used as a standalone treatment or as a complementary as osteopathic treatment.
